Kate made her international debut 2006 swimming world Championships in Durban, and her Paralympic debut at Beijing 2008. Kate has represented Great Britain at the Europeans, Worlds and Paralympics.
My love for the sport.
Finishing fifth in the 100m breaststroke at the Beijing Paralympics where I was representing Great Britain.
Training in the pool takes place daily between 5.45 and 8am. This is followed by gym weights from 8.30-9.30am. There is then a second training session from 3.45-6pm each day.
The dream of gaining a medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games (oh and a really good alarm clock song!)
They are all extremely supportive and proud.
I am currently working towards a degree in Sports Development from the University of Bath, where I am also following a career pathway in teaching.
Also helping me to get to this point and continue to strive for success are my family and friends, and my past successes during my swimming career.
Have no regrets. You can only do your best.
Lactate testing, nutrition, physiotherapy sessions, massage, as well as strength and conditioning.
Heart rate monitoring; skin folds to measure body weight; and fitness testing including the step test.
I enjoy going shopping, watching movies and meeting my friends.
